I am a diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and have recently been assigned to serve as a Minister Counsellor at the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo for a four-year posting. I arrived in Norway on 15 July 2026 and am currently looking for a long-term furnished apartment within a convenient distance of the Embassy, located at Eilert Sundts gate 4.

The apartment will be for myself and my 14-year-old son, who will be attending Oslo International School. We are looking for a furnished two-bedroom apartment with an elevator, preferably on a higher floor. Our budget is approximately NOK 24,000–25,500 per month, depending on the apartment and what is included.

The Royal Thai Embassy will be responsible for the lease and will pay the rent directly each month. As a diplomatic mission, the Embassy has an excellent record of meeting its financial obligations promptly and reliably.

Over the course of my diplomatic career, I have had the privilege of living in Helsinki, Geneva, Madrid, and Canberra, both as the spouse of an Ambassador and as a diplomat myself. In every posting, I have enjoyed excellent relationships with my landlords and have always returned the properties in outstanding condition. My security deposits have never been subject to deductions, as I have always treated every residence as if it were my own home.

I understand that a home represents a significant investment, and I believe that being a responsible tenant means more than simply paying the rent on time. My son and I live a quiet lifestyle, take pride in keeping our surroundings exceptionally clean and well maintained, and are attentive to even the smallest details. We have no pets, do not smoke, and have no intention of acquiring pets during our stay. We respect our neighbours, follow building rules, and appreciate the trust that landlords place in their tenants.

As this assignment will last four years, we are hoping to find a home where we can settle comfortably for the long term. We would be genuinely grateful for the opportunity to care for your apartment and can assure you that it will be looked after with the same level of care and respect that has earned us the confidence of our previous landlords around the world.
