Hi everyone!

My name is Mateusz, I am from Poland, and I am a PhD student at Cracow University of Technology. I am coming to Trondheim for an Erasmus+ research stay at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) - during the Autumn semester, for about 5 months.

I am looking for accommodation for this period and, ideally, also for friendly people interested in renting a flat or a house together.
My preferred dates are approximately from 18 August to 12 January, mainly because of convenient flight options, but I am quite flexible.
During my mobility at NTNU, I will be undertaking an individual research plan without mandatory course participation, so I can adjust the exact move-in and move-out dates if needed.

When it comes to the place itself, I do not have many requirements. A comfortable bed, a desk and chair for work, a nice view from the window, and a cosy shared space would already make me very happy. I am open both to renting a room in an existing flat and to renting a larger flat or house together with other people. Living with a larger group is not a problem for me - actually, I see it as a big advantage. I think that in Trondheim, sharing a place with 4–5 people could be a very good option.

For me, the people are even more important than the apartment itself.
I would love to live with open-minded, respectful, positive people who care about the shared space, regardless of age, gender, nationality or worldview. A location close to the NTNU campus would be ideal, but a good atmosphere and reasonable conditions matter just as much.

Scientifically, I am interested in future technologies and sustainable development. Professionally, I work as an HVAC installation designer.
My long-term vision is to develop self-sufficient, 3D-printed residential smart buildings, full of comfort, energy-efficient and designed in harmony with nature.

Outside science and work, I am a person of many interests, fascinated by the use of artificial intelligence to develop engineering and scientific tools. I am into music, nature and meaningful conversations. I enjoy meeting new people and I feel comfortable in shared living, with a fair division of responsibilities, mutual support and respect for personal space.

I am Catholic, but I respect every religion, culture and worldview. For me, balance between the mind, everyday life and the spiritual side of life is important.

If your operating system crashes - I will probably try to help.
If there is no time to prepare dinner - I may cook something.
If you have no one to go out with - I will most likely be ready.
And if you want to talk about science, music, life, personal challenges, dreams or geopolitics - there is a serious risk that the conversation may last for hours.

I believe that an Erasmus stay like this happens only once in a lifetime, so let’s make it not only practical, but also truly valuable, unforgettable and simply epic.
