Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Guus Simonetti and I am a Dutch student currently enrolled in the International Business programme at my home university in the Netherlands. I am writing to apply for a place in your student housing, as I have been given the exciting opportunity to study abroad in Norway for one full semester as an exchange student.

At the moment I live in a student house in Enschede with 16 fellow students, sharing communal facilities such as bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. This experience has taught me how to live respectfully alongside others, keep shared spaces clean and organised, and contribute positively to a communal living environment.

Beyond that, I am an outgoing and sociable person. One of the things I am most looking forward to during my time in Norway is meeting new people, experiencing a different culture and building connections with both local and international students. Student housing seems like the perfect setting for exactly that, and I would genuinely embrace being part of such a community.
