Hello! My name is Moritz, a 25-year-old researcher from Germany. I'm moving to Ås to start my PhD at NMBU, where I'll be teaching wheat how to survive climate change with the help of AI. I'm looking for a long-term room in a shared apartment starting November 1st, 2025.
As a housemate/tenant, you'll find I'm a quiet and responsible type. My profile says "Fester sjelden" (parties rarely), which is a polite way of saying my idea of a wild Friday night involves a good book and a cup of tea. I'm a non-smoker and very tidy. With my fully funded PhD position, my rent will be paid more consistently than Norwegians buying Kvikk Lunsj at Easter (exited to try it). After renting in Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands, I follow the cleaning instructions in a rental contract more strictly than the rules for brewing beer in Bavaria.
My Norwegian is currently a work in progress (as in, it hasn't started yet), but I'm fluent in English and German and eager to learn the local language.
