I‘m Emil, a 30-year-old cellist from Germany. After an exchange year in Oslo two years ago, life is bringing me back to Norway – I’ll start a position in Trondheim Symfoniorkester in September. Having heard lots of good things about the orchestra and the city, moving to a city where I only know about two or three people still feels a bit scary… That’s why I’d love to move into a kollektiv, and preferably into one that is more than just a shared flat. Since I moved out to study, I’ve always lived in shared flats and have always liked it a lot. It’s easier getting things done when there are other people who are doing stuff and it’s nice when there is almost always someone around to hang out with, cook dinner, go out or watch a movie.
Besides being a cellist (that doesn’t practice at home unless wished for otherwise, don’t worry!), I’m a bit of an architecture nerd, love good design and have unfortunately grown very fond of my roommates’ espresso machine. I like all sorts of art (more in a passive role, apart from my cello), hanging out in cafés with a book or people, dim-lit bars and electronic music. I also love hiking (that’s my partly Austrian side, I guess) and cooking (at least sometimes when inspiration strikes).
Jeg kan faktisk snakke litt norsk, men der er ikke ennå bra nok for å forstå nordmenn som snakker veldig fort eller trøndersk hehe…
If all of this sounds like a potential match or if you have any other interesting flat to rent out – I’d love to hear from you :)
Emil
