A university researcher looking for a studio / room to write his book

Hei,

I am looking for a studio or a room in shared accommodation for myself from the beginning of October.

I would prefer a furnished place quipped with a fridge, a washing machine (or a communal laundry), ideally with central water heating. I used to live in Bislett and would love to be closer to it this time, but I am also flexible.

I rented my previous studio through Eiendomsmegler. The agent I worked with is happy to provide a reference for me.

I am a postdoctoral fellow in social anthropology at the University of Oslo. I hold a PhD in sociology from the University of Cambridge. I have been working at the UiO since 2021. I have just returned to Oslo from a trip abroad, and I am looking for a place where I can write my book.

I am a calm and very tidy person. I do not smoke. I don't have pets. I enjoy swimming and long walks in nature, as well as occasional chamber music concerts.

Before coming to Norway, I lived in Finland. This allowed me to fall deeply in love with the beauty of the Nordic region, its cultures, nature, architecture, summer light and winter sports, and overall lifestyle. I have also studied and conducted academic research in Ireland, France, Germany, Russia, the United States, and the UK. I speak English, Russian, French, a bit of German, and I can read a line or two in Latin and Ancient Greek. I have started studying Norwegian.
