Charming collective house in Sandnes with big garden and common spaces for creativity

We are three happy beings that has found a wonderful collective house with a spacious garden full of fruits and berries, just outside the centre of Sandnes. Now we are searching for more roommates, are you one of them? Please write something about yourself and about your motivation for living in our collective, and please read this to the end so that you know what to expect. :)
We are in direct contact with the owners and have made a unique deal with them for renting the house. The rent is 6000 NOK per room per month not including electricity or internet, but since we will be so many people living together, these will not be big expenses.

The house has seven rooms for rent. We hope that we will be able to find all 7 before the first of August! Please reach out also if you are not able to move in so soon, but if you would find this interesting!

The house has four floors, a basement with bathroom, a wood-workshop, storage as well as a freezer and food storage room. The ground floor has a bright, spacious living room as well as the biggest bedroom of the house, two bathrooms and a kitchen. On the first floor the six other bedrooms are situated, next to each other and laid out in a symmetrical way with three on each side. Finally, on the top there is the attic where it is possible to have a yoga room, music/jamming room, reading corner or painting and drawing workshop. There is also a big garage that even has a blacksmith!

The garden is full of fruit trees and bushes; there are apple trees, plum trees, redcurrant bushes (a hundred years old!), blackcurrant bushes, gooseberry bushes, a rhubarb that just keeps growing, different herbs like mint and lemon balm, and a hedge full of aronia berries.

Right now, the house is being refurbished which is why we share mostly pictures of the garden and the outside of the house. But we felt, that on top of it being an amazing house, the garden is also really the thing that drew us to the place. It is possible to turn part of the lawn into a huge vegetable bed or fill the garden with boxes for raised beds, have chickens or make it into an oasis. The possibilities are endless.

We understand if people want to live in Stavanger, but Sandness has its charms too with its more quiet city centre and the nature and mountains very close by.

The spirit of the commune / collective we want to start is based on doing, sharing, creating and building, in a warm and inclusive space.

What we do: Outdoors activities & sports like hiking and swimming, engaging in conversations sharing different points of view without judging. Working in the garden.

What we share: Eating delicious vegetarian meals together. Books that we love. Going for walks. Dancing. Sitting by the fireplace or the bonfire. Singing and playing music.

What we create: Things we write, like poems and essays. Drawings and paintings. Music – songs we write. Events and gatherings.

What we build: Communities. Relations. Physical structures (like a greenhouse or chicken house).
Dashuo and Harald lived together in a wonderful collective before in Ugla outside of Trondheim, between two lakes and at the edge of the forest. They live together now in Storhaug, but will move out from there on August 1st in search of a larger community and new adventures in Sandnes. Pia lives in Finnøy in a self-built tiny house with her daughter and has also lived in many communities before in her life.
We like to share tasks like cleaning, shopping, gardening and cooking and hope that you will be interested in doing the same. Sharing meals is also a wonderful way of socialising, and we hope to be able to do this at least once a week.

Dette gjøres for å sikre at leietaker har en strømavtale ved innflytting. Avtalen har ingen bindingstid, og leietaker står fritt til å bytte til en annen strømleverandør etter at kontrakten har startet.
