Hi!
Anna and I are looking for a new flatmate to our shared female flat. The flat is situated in calm surroundings at Øya, within walking distance of the city center, NTNU (Gløshaugen, Øya and Kalvskinnet campuses), and the St. Olav Hospital. It’s right next to a pleasant bike and pedestrian path along the Nidelva River, and a short minute walk away, there is a stadium which anyone can access for free for running and working out. The park area between the stadium and the river is also nice for doing yoga and working out in. There are even a couple of “stations” with strengthening devices.
The flat, including the bedrooms, is fully furnished and equipped. There is no shared living room, but all the rooms are big enough to function as living rooms with a sofa, an armchair, and a coffee table, and we appreciate a chat in the kitchen.
I offer two types of contracts for the room depicted in the ad. Both are valid for an unspecified period. The difference is the length and type of the binding.
1. 12 months binding period: 7500 NOK/month
2. 6 months binding period: 9900 NOK/month
After the binding period, the time limit for the notice of termination is three months from the end of the current calendar month.
The electricity costs are added to the rent. Each month you pay 500 NOK. Once a year or after the termination of a contract, a calculation of the electricity expenses will be done. If the totality of the actual costs were lower than the totality of what you paid, the surplus will be refunded to you. Likewise, you will need to pay the difference if the pre-paid amount did not cover your share of the actual costs. The probability of having a refund is substantially higher than the probability of having to pay more.
Sublease is allowed with certain rules and restrictions.
Smoking and pets are not allowed. There are also some restrictions regarding parties and visits.
Who are we looking for?
It’s an advantage if everyone is roughly the same age and shares some interests, but these aspects are not requisites. The most important thing is that we get along and can appreciate sharing flat. Both Anna and I have busy lives, and our social lives mainly take place elsewhere than at home. We appreciate a chat in the kitchen and a shared dinner occasionally, but it’s also totally fine to “charge one’s batteries” in each our rooms. Being considerate towards each other is important, for instance by tidying up after oneself in the common areas and by being quiet when someone has gone to bed.
Who are we?
Anna is 29 years old and has just completed her first year of a bachelor’s degree in biology at NTNU. She loves to hike, work-out, do yoga, read books and watch movies.
I am 39 years old, currently working part-time as a personal assistant and sometimes as a teacher. I am a certified teacher, also with a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy and with two years of full-time dancing and acting/theatre. In my spare time, I do improvised theatre and a variety of physical activities, among other things.
Both Anna and I are used to living in shared flats, and we love getting to know knew people. We are both Norwegian, but we speak English well, and I also speak French and some Spanish.
