1 Room available in our fantastic home!

A great house (villa + giant garden) with 5 thoughtful and cooperative housemates is looking for a 6th person to rent a room from the 1st of September 2025 to 15th of June 2026, while the 6th person is abroad.

We are a mature (late 20's to mid 30, all working) and international house of researchers / programmers / climbers / nature educators. We share some common dinners (occasionally), social & project activities, cultivate a supportive environment and as allies we try our best at providing a ‘safe space’. In short we have a really cosy home and household, in which we like to keep up to date with each other lives.

We are a tolerant, respectful, social, eco-friendly, clean (take part in the regular cleaning schedule without being reminded + generally clean up after yourself), non-smoking and cooperative/helpful type of household. Also we aim to have open-communication about our wishes and needs in the house.

We’re looking for someone who takes active pride in their home and shares our values. If you’re interested, let us know a little bit about you: in particular your values and how you are as a housemate and what you look for in a home. We will be screening and interviewing people because we have an amazing home and we want to make sure the potential housemates are a good fit!

Room and house features:
A historic, well-maintained villa right next to Steinerud T-bane stop (2 stops west of Majorstuen on Line 1).
10 - 15 min walk to UiO Blindern campus/10 mins walk to Majorstuen/4 mins walk to shops.

We share a kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms, large basement with pantry, laundry and workshop and a garage/bike shed. As well as a large, beautiful garden with lots of space. The general garden is for all the housemates to look after (cutting the grass, raking leaves, plowing snow etc). The veggie garden is pretty big and only some of us work in it - new house mate can choose to participate and harvest, or not.

Description of the room:
Northern-facing, white room ( ~17 m2) with high ceiling on the second floor. Three build in wall-cubboards, a desk, desk chair, bed and a big bookcase. A huge carpet shields the corner of the room, behind in which the neighbouring room needs to pass to get in and out.

Rent: kr 5500 (+3 months deposit required).
Electricity and internet comes on top of that.

Entire term leases will be prioritized, but so will people that really seem to fit in if only for a short time.
